"Sid got canned food last night in memory of Shelly."
Heh! Well, if there is a kitty heaven, I know Shelly is purring at the thought of that. She did love her Tuna Feast! (But, true to her diva nature, that was the ONLY wet food she would eat.)
Oh, Cathy. I just read the comment you left on my blog, and my heart sank. I rushed right over here. I'm so terribly sorry. I wish her time with you could have been longer, but at least you know that she had 14 good years of life, and that is a blessing.
I'm so sorry to hear Shelly's gone. Pets are so special and so much a part of our lives and our families. She had a great life, and lived it her way! One of a kind, that Shelly. Pistol? More like a canon!
Born in the Shenandoah Valley and raised in a town that had half a mountain, I left for the north and new wave superstardom as soon as I could. New wave superstardom proved elusive, however, so I decided to write instead.

Oh, Cathy, I am so sorry.
Dave saw the post and gave me the heads-up on the kitty!
So, so sorry!

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
:(
Thanks, everyone.
We had hoped she'd be with us longer after her terminal diagnosis in July, but we had two more months with her, and that was a gift.
She was such a beautiful girl. And man, did she know it!

Cathy, when you're up for it I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we'd love to see a memorial post full of your best Diva-cat stories.

Thanks, Ann Marie.
She had a pretty cushy life, I must say. And really, when you consider that she had a heart defect, a pretty long one.
Still it was really had to let go. I felt just awful, making the decision. But it was the right one.

Very sorry to hear about your kitty. Hope you plan to replace her. It will ease your mourning somewhat I think.
Oh yeah..this is Jeff's big bruder
Thanks, Beth! Yeah... she gave you the skunk-eye more than once! Heh!
And Dan!! How are you guys??
We are doing just fine. Just fed Senior Pepe our house/feral cat. Going back to bed. :o)
